Uploading Memos

You can now self-publish a memo under your own name on the course website.

I have created a “people” directory with a subdirectory for each of us. The “documents” page is generated automatically from the contents of these directories. Simply placing an appropriately-named memo in your personal directory will cause it to appear on the listing page.

To place files in your memo directory, you can use either WebDAV or AFS. AFS is faster and far more reliable, but WebDAV does not require installing any additional software.

Instructions for both access methods can be found here:

Place your memos in this directory:

/afs/research.cs.berkeley.edu/class/fleet/website/docs/people/YOURNAME/

And name it like this:

[INITIALS][NUMBER]-[TITLE].pdf
(for example, am05-Unified.Moves.pdf)

INITIALS = your initials
NUMBER   = two digit memo number
TITLE    = the title of your paper, replacing spaces (' ') with periods ('.')

Your memo MUST be in “.pdf” format.

Each person has write access only to their own directory (although Ivan, Igor and I have supervisor access to all of them). For this reason, you will need to authenticate using your @EECS account in order to upload or alter files.

Email me if you have any questions.
